Our Sisters' School, proudly invites you to two Nature Explore workshops devoted to reconnecting children with nature.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

Saturday, August 17, 2019

9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Using Your Outdoor Classroom

Experience interesting techniques for using outdoor classrooms as an integral part of children’s daily learning. Find out how well-designed outdoor spaces facilitate healthy physical, emotional, intellectual and social development in a variety of settings (from schools to early childhood programs to public spaces). 

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Lunch
*Lunch is available for purchase at the Buttonwood Park Zoo or you may bring your own

1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.  The Arts & Nature

Discover engaging art experiences inspired by nature that help children make deeper connections with the world around them. Experience the Look-Move-Build-Sketch planning tool that encourages multifaceted arts exploration.

*School entrance is located on the backside of the Synagogue where the outdoor classroom is.
*Complimentary zoo passes generously donated by the Buttonwood Park Zoo.
*Attending a workshop meets one of the requirement needed for Nature Explore Classroom certification.

We understand things happen and schedules change. If you need to cancel a workshop you are registered to attend please contact Nature Explore immediately via phone or email. A 50% refund will be received on all cancellations received up to 7 days prior to the workshop. If cancellation is made within 7 days of the workshop, no refund will be received.
