2019 Romance GenreCon
Librarian Workshop
Romance is the number one selling genre in the world, and yet it is routinely underserved in public libraries. We are setting out to change all that! Join us for the 2019 Romance GenreCon Librarian Workshop.
This special, free event is a part of the larger GenreCon experience: a three-day convention that celebrates the genre and seeks to dispel some of the stigma surrounding romance.
New York Times best-selling author, Damon Suede, kicks off the Librarian Workshop with a keynote speech about the meaning of romance novels in our world. Attendees will have a chance to interact with top romance authors and learn all about the genre. A representative from the Sourcebooks will also be there to talk about the publishing world.
Librarian presenters include: Kaite Stover, Kansas City Public, Beth Atwater, Johnson County, Polli Kenn, Lawrence Public, and Amy Fisher, Mid-Continent Public Library.
