CL Florida & Southeast
Summer Vacation 2019

We warmly invite you to join us at the 2019 Communion and Liberation Florida & Southeast Vacation. Registration needs to be done by July 15th, 2019 to ensure that the cabins is reserved by the Retreat Center.

Beauty passes, happens, without asking our permission, challenging all skepticism and nihilism.
If you are attentive, you can perceive it. Therefore, all that is asked of us is to be attentive to discovering it when it passes. In fact, as Camus wrote in his Notebooks, “It is not with scruples that a man grows tall. Like a beautiful day, height is given according to God’s will.” 19 A. Camus, Notebooks 1951-1959, translated by Ryan Bloom, Ivan R. Dee, Chicago, 2008, p. 26
Our whole life is gambled on perceiving the moment when beauty passes in front of our eyes. How can I recognize that I've perceived it? I see it in the fact that suddenly it opens my eyes wide, reawakening my desire.
What is the most necessary beauty? It is the happening of a preference, the ultimate preference all of us wait to experience. Preference is the method of every reawakening, every redemption, every generation of the human, of the “I.

Why a vacation together?

Christ came to reawaken our capacity to know reality.  “Christ did not come to solve the problems of the human person or daily life, but to educate the religious sense, that is, to reawaken the self, putting it in the right position for facing our problems".  We encounter Christ through an experience, through which he educates us.

The vacation is an invitation to join others who desire to encounter Christ through a shared experience and it is an opportunity to rediscover how “Christ is useful for the journey that people make in their relationship with things, walking toward their Destiny.”

It's true that we need to relax, but more than that we need to be happy.  So, we use our vacation time to play games together, to spend time with friends and family, to have a few moments of culture to remind us that all of life is fascinating, to hike to awaken ourselves to the beauty of nature, and to pray to remind ourselves that we cannot ultimately make ourselves happy but we are loved by the One who can.

We do these things once a year also to remind ourselves that we need these things every day of our life.

We are not offering separate pricing for participants coming later than Wednesday since the vacation is only 4 days and we feel every day is very important. If however you would like to discuss different arrangements with us or need some financial support feel free to contact Enrico Grugnetti (egrugnetti@gmail.com) or Marco Saccaggi (saccaggi_fam@sbcglobal.net).

Bring your Song book and the Book of the Hours, hiking boots if you have them.
