Qualified Rigger / Signal Person

This course covers regulatory requirements for qualified rigger and signal person qualification of sub-part CC – Cranes and Derricks in Construction. Qualified riggers are required wherever workers are within the fall zone and hooking, unhooking, guiding a load, or doing the initial connection of a load to a component or structure.  Topics include: standards and regulations, qualification requirements, rigging and sling types, safe lifting practices and center of gravity, inspection and maintenance, standard hand signals and communication, and crane safety awareness.
