Ethics in Social Work:

Am I doing it right? 

Course Summary:

Hosted by Kawana Webb LCWS-C, this popular ethics course is being hosted at the Salisbury University Main Campus for the first time. During this course, Webb addresses common ethical dilemmas such as boundary issues, dual relationship and conflicts of interest which are especially important in a rural setting. Webb and attendees will review the standards of responsibility to clients and colleagues in and out of a practice setting through personal experience and hypothetical situations. Upon completing the course, attendees will have earned three (3) Category 1 continuing education credits. 

Objectives:

  1. Understand the NASW Ethical Values and corresponding standards
  2. List the NASW Standards
  3. Discuss ethical scenarios and relate NASW standards and values in each

About the Presenter:

Kawana Webb, LCSW-C, is a district social worker with the Dorchester County Public Schools, and an adjunct with the Salisbury University School of Social Work.
