Workshop One:  Movements supportive and contraindicated for specific body types

This workshop will approach the body as an ever adaptive organism rather than a collection of parts, introducing the Masses and Spaces model for a simple, dynamic way to observe the body in three dimension. This increases your ability to identify structural patterns, and creates opportunity to modify movement and posture. Great information for those who are fascinated by fascia.

This workshop is lecture, demo, lab, and, equipment.

Workshop Two:   It is where it isn’t - The concept of treating the source, not the symptom.

Most often, pain is an indicator there is an imbalance in the structure and is an indicator for change. Using physical impairment as a starting point to direct the journey backward, to it’s cause. A stiff upper back is due to a forward head, a lower right shoulder is because of a weak left ankle, or, lower back pain with tight hips. Using fascial maps and a connect the dots template, this workshop explores the nervous system, motor control, and neuromuscular reeducation through a different lens… It is where it isn’t.
This workshop is lecture, demo, lab, and, equipment.

Workshop 3: Hands On. Hands on the body means hands on the nervous system.

Often, only hands-on cueing will do for achieving a better means to contact your client and encourage proper alignment. However, improper or disconnected touch can confuse or alarm, which can undermine the intention. This workshop will explore the power and potential of touch and demonstrate various techniques to teach with greater results. This is an excellent training for all teachers, asking permission, judging who to touch, or not, where on the body, pressure, skin vs. clothes. This workshop will explore the power of touch and demonstrate various techniques to teach with greater results.

This workshop is lecture, demo, lab, and, equipment.
