MCI LIVE Webinar - Innovation & Customer Focus: The Keys to Global Growth

ASAE research across four years of separate studies has shown there is a profound “underperformance problem” among associations that threaten to hurt global growth prospects and influence for years to come.   While the US domestic market remains flat or worse for many, the global marketplace is becoming more disruptive and challenging as industries converge requiring associations to be faster to market with more customized product and service offerings.

Yet, there is a lack of engagement that leads to weak member & customer relationships because of an overreliance on “command-driven” HQ initiative and too little on co-creating with end users of the very products and services being promoted.

Can associations innovate faster to compete and win?  Is organizational culture a barrier to global growth?

We believe that associations must be seen as centers for innovation and proactive experimentation.  And understanding the needs of local customers (which differ from the US and market to market) and delivering according to local business and cultural practices is essential for global growth and building influence.

Join us on July 16th for this interesting webinar featuring two association executives who have experience at various stages of sustained global business development.

We’ll share our own journeys toward building regional products and customer experiences.  You’ll learn how you can lead a culture of change, embrace innovation, learn and adapt.

We’ll share how you can use regional markets outside the US as an incubator or safe-haven in which to innovate, experiment and adapt.  In an age of disruption and digital transformation associations we must all adapt quickly and innovate to ensure relevance and enduring development.

Learning outcomes

  1. Where to focus to become faster to market when trying to build market share in a particular region
  2. Why “command and control” from HQ makes you less responsive to market opportunities versus regional team based collaboration
  3. How to empower local teams to make decisions
  4. How regional experimentation can allow you to innovate faster
