High Tech Apprenticeships for an Industry 4.0 World

Industry 4.0 and the skills gap are transforming the way the manufacturing world operates. Businesses need sustainable pipelines of talent that can adapt to today’s high-tech, connected factory environment. Apprenticeship programs are one answer to this complex problem. This workshop aims to facilitate true peer-to-peer connections and exchanges between executives from Germany and the US—connections that will support companies as they navigate the changing workforce.

You will walk away from this workshop with valuable insights into Industry 4.0 as it relates to:

  • The Classroom: Training technology that’s constantly changing
  • Certification: Covering a wide-ranging field
  • The Workplace: How do apprentices enable Industry 4.0?

A light lunch will be provided. Following the workshop, participants will tour Automation Alley, a manufacturing and technology business association and Michigan’s Industry 4.0 knowledge center.

This event will be followed by a delegation trip to Germany, which will take place from October 21-25, 2019.
