Our next Management Interest Group meeting will be held online on Tuesday, August 27th, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm.

This group is discussing the book The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth by John Maxwell. Please try to finish the book before the August 28th meeting. Each chapter is a quick and interesting read - search your Library for a copy and join us!

We need your voice - make your plans to be part of the conversation!

The purpose of this group is to gain an understanding of principles of Management and Leadership, explore theories in change management, challenges and solutions to workplace conflicts, how to deal with change and resistance, how to motivate employees, etc.

Interest Group Facilitator: Chabha Shams

My name is Chabha Shams and I am the Assistant Regional Librarian for the Volusia County Public Library System. This is my first job in Public Services and I love the diversity of our patrons and the demographic I serve through the library system. Prior to that, I was in Academia my entire adult life as either a professor or a librarian - leadership & management. Currently, I am completing a doctorate degree in Information Management at Syracuse University with a focus on Change Management

I am new to Florida and I love living by the beach. I enjoy spending my free time watching sunrises, feeding the birds, meditation, and long walks on the beach. My mission in life is to serve humanity by improving community, adding value, and helping others through coaching and mentoring.
