Join us in March for lunch and a presentation by Cheryl Richards, PhD, CEO & Regional Dean, Northeastern University - Charlotte.
Dr. Richards will discuss how we have all benefited from the growing impact of robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and “Big Data” on everyday life. However, while society continues to invest in automation and machine capabilities, jobs are being replaced by technology, and the headcount at many companies is dropping. How can humans stay relevant in this fast-changing work environment? By leveraging our unique cognitive capacities—the ones that only humans possess—, we can create new value in the workplace, where machines and technology are actually not our enemies. After all, Artificial Intelligence is still artificial and humanity will prevail us as masters of a technological world.
Dr. Richards oversees Northeastern University Charlotte which offers more than 50 programs including bachelors, masters, doctorates and certificates. She recently launched the university’s Corporate Talent Solutions providing customized solutions for employee learning & professional development. The Charlotte Business Journal has recognized her as a 40 Under Forty leader and a Top 25 Women in Business. A frequent presenter and speaker, she has guest hosted Carolina Business Review and appeared in BizWomen’s national webcast.
