Kim Adsit is a 2002 Teacher of the Year and has taught kindergarten for over 28 years. Focusing on developing curriculum and strategies that incorporate child-centered activities, she emphasizes the fun of kindergarten by tapping into the curiosity of children, thus planting the seed for lifelong learning. Kim has been selected as an Expert Teacher and served as a mentor. She has a Specialist Degree in Early Childhood as well as an At-Risk Endorsement. Kim has also authored many teacher resources that are available on the teacherspayteachers.com website and is always sharing her tips and tricks on her popular blog, Kindergals.

  

Adam Peterson is a kindergarten teacher and vlogger known for his social media channel Teachers Learn Too (@teacherslearn2). He has taught kindergarten for the past 13 years in Illinois and has recently started traveling the country as a presenter of all things Kindergarten! Focusing on teaching through a play-based philosophy, Adam uses his many talents to ensure his students are engaged and learning when they don't even know it!

Join Kim Adsit and Adam Peterson for a fun and motivational Professional Development Workshop!  Kim and Adam promise to send you back to the classroom with a whole year full of tips, tricks, ideas, and a renewed sense of enthusiasm.
Participants will complete 6 hours of Professional Development hours. Space is limited, so you will want to be among the first to register!
Create the Best Day Through Work and Play

Are you wanting to create an environment where work and play encourage critical thinking, independence and social skills? Of course! Then, Kim and Adam have just what you need! During your day together, this dynamic duo will share ideas to promote literacy, science, and math while building relationships with and between the kiddos in your classroom.

Conference Information
 

REGISTRATION FEE: (payable in advance) $179 per person. Checks, VISA, and MasterCard accepted. Purchase orders will not be accepted. Registration Fee includes: Attendance, continental breakfast and lunch. No confirmation will be sent. Your canceled check or your credit card statement will be your receipt of registration.

REFUND POLICY There are no refunds under any circumstances.  If your registration is accepted, but you are unable to attend, you may send a friend or colleague in your place.  In the event of an emergency which causes the cancellation of the conference, a $20 administrative fee will be deducted from your registrations.

UNIVERSITY CREDIT AND CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS

The Division of Extended Learning at National University is pleased to offer attendees of the Southern California Kindergarten Conference the opportunity to earn .6 Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) of credit for attending the 2019 Fall Professional Development Workshop. 

We recommend that you check with your school district and/or state licensing agency to verify this CEU will meet your district and/or state requirements for salary advancement and/or state certificate re-licensure. The credit awarded is for Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) only and do not transfer into academic credit at National University.
