ONWARD
Cultivating Emotional Resilience

Description: 

This workshop creates the space needed for you to learn and grow as an educator at any level of the system.

During this training participants will:

  • learn the habits and dispositions of resilience and practice strategies for implementing them into your life
  • understand the role emotions play into resilience
  • identify moments where resilience can be cultivated
  • discover empowering stories to boost resilience 

Who should attend? Elementary and secondary school teams (school administrators, counselors, teachers, specialists, and special education teachers) and district office administrators

Presenter: Janet Baird

Janet has been in education for over 20 years, teaching, coaching, and designing and facilitating professional development. She holds a BA from Loyola Marymount University in English and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction, Secondary Education from San Francisco State University. She is a certified coach in the Art of Coaching. In addition, she has been a certified yoga instructor for the past 15 years. Her work in Transformational Coaching, yoga, and education feed her passion for helping people cultivate resilience to lead happier lives. Janet’s work focuses on developing the content for the Onward website and facilitating the Onward workshops. 

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Each CESA #1 Title I District and Independent Charter School is eligible for 2 no-cost seats

**If you are uncertain if your district is a CESA #1 Title I district or Independent Charter School, please confirm with Linda Schopen prior to registering. Districts that are not a CESA #1 Title I District or Independent Charter School will be billed in full regardless of fee option selected.
