4iD – Revit Architecture Entry Level Course.
This 3-days course (18hrs total) is dedicated to familiarizing the new user with Revit basic commands for Architects. The focus will be on the development of your design, productivity and documentation tools for Autodesk Revit.
- Understand Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Navigate the user interface.
- Create a basic floor plan, work with level and grids.
- Add/modify floors, ceilings and roofs.
- Add/modify walls, doors, windows and use editing commands.
- Understand parametric objects.
- Add/modify component families.
- Duplicate, create and manage views (elevations, sections, callouts, 3Ds) as well as control all visibilities.
- Work with dimensions and other annotations.
- Work with stairs and railings.
- Create/manage rooms, schedules and legends.
- Create/modify sheets.
Class schedule: Class length is 6 hours per day. Course breakdown is as follows:
Session 1: 10:00am to 11:20am, followed by a 10 min break.
Session 2: 11:30am to 1:00pm, followed by a 60 min lunch (participants are responsible for their own lunch).
Session 3: 2:00pm to 3:20pm, followed by a 10 min break.
Session 4: 3:30pm to 5:00pm.
Dates: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 2nd, 3rd, 4th.
Courses are being provided by 4 Ideal Design (4iD) in partnership w/ the CCNY Architecture Alumni Group. All Profits from this course will be donated to the CCNY Architecture Alumni Scholarship Fund.
