With nearly 96 percent of consumers living and the fastest growing economies happening outside the U.S, plus two-thirds of the world’s purchasing power residing in foreign countries, attractive opportunities await U.S. small business in global business.

Go where these foreign customers are without moving your existing business operations. There is a significant opportunity for small businesses to profit from importing and exporting operations.

Importing / Exporting offers great opportunities but requires preparation and planning. 

This workshop will help you gain the knowledge to develop and implement a global business plan or to even significantly expand your existing international sales. 

Through this workshop, you will become well acquainted with the following key components of effective small business operations in global markets, including

    * use of the internet to easily reach and then sell to international customers
    * how to get export trade financing through the SBA
    * the three common characteristics of successful small businesses which grow their international sales
    * an overview of the U.S. legal requirements governing importing and exporting,
    * how to effectively handle these regulatory requirements, including the impact of tariffs
    * the use of bank letters of credit to ensure that you are paid by new unknown foreign customers
    * how to safely transact in a foreign currency without the risk of exchange rate loss
    * the three ways of entering foreign markets
    * and much more

He retired as Senior Vice President Secretary and General Counsel of Flowserve Corporation (NYSE:FLS), a $4 Billion Global Manufacturer & Member of S & P 500. Ron holds a M.S. (Management) from MIT Sloan School of Management.
