Survival Skills in Portuguese for Beginners 2019 - Part I

IPLWS is again offering the popular adult enrichment course "Survival Skills in Portuguese for Beginners - Part I" for the fall  2019 semester.

This non-credit course is especially designed for the busy adult who would like to develop basic communication skills in the Portuguese language. Classes meet for 10 weeks on Saturday mornings from 10 am to 12 noon on the Rhode Island College campus.

The instructor, Ms. Lisa Andrade Almeida, is an experienced teacher of Portuguese language and culture at both the secondary school and university levels.  Ms. Almeida is a near-native speaker of Portuguese, is a certified interpreter and has studied and traveled in continental Portugal and the Azores.

The fee is only $150 for the ten week course with an additional $70 for the book and CD.  (The book and CD will also be used in the spring for Part II if registration allows.)

Class size is limited to allow for maximum participation and interaction. So whether you plan to travel, have always wanted to learn your heritage language or just wish to expand your horizons, this course is the perfect way to get started!
