Macon Job Developers Cohort's September Training

The Macon Job Developers Cohort will be meeting to continue the work started in May at the in-person kick-off and touched upon in the July webinar. The Cohort will work together for a full day of learning, sharing, and community building.

COHORT LEADS:

 Debra Mclean is passionate about seeing people with disabilities succeed in the work force. For the last 37 years Debra has worked on numerous projects involving people with disabilities and supported employment. Debra provides training and consultation on employment and personcentered planning throughout the Northwest. She has worked collaboratively with schools, families, agencies, businesses, and individuals, both in the U.S. and in Australia. She is the lead instructor for the Highline Community Class on Job Development and Marketing,   Employment Specialist Certification Program in Vancouver Washington since 2008. Debra holds an MS in Rehabilitation Counseling and Deafness. 

 Jenny Crook has experience as a competitive integrated employment program manager, an employment specialist, and a job coach. She enjoys using her training as a Person-Centered Planning Facilitator to brainstorm employment possibilities with people. Jenny’s interests and strengths are in collaborating with supported employment programs and teams to create and implement best practices. She became a Certified Employment Support Professional through APSE and received her BS in Sociology from Portland State University. 

 

 

 Charly Walters developed a passion for social equality from over a  decade of experience in job coaching, job development, residential care, and volunteering with individuals with disabilities. Having grown up in a rural environment, Charly was immersed in an inclusive community where labels such as disability were not something that separated or divided people from one another, an experience which has led to her lifelong career. She has provided embedded employment training and consulting to high school students learning to manage dual diagnoses. Currently, Charly works with businesses and the county on the HireAbility Spokane initiative in Washington state, which focuses on business to business events and marketing.
