Penn Law Clinic
Accepting Pro Bono Applications
The Penn Law Clinic is currently accepting clients for two FREE law clinics: The Detkin Intellectual Property and Technology Legal Clinic (“DIPTC”) and the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic. (“ELC”).
DIPTC is a "teaching law-firm" where its students represent clients without charge under the supervision of faculty-practitioners.
Penn law students also partner with the student-run Penn Intellectual Property Group ("PIPG") offering “boot camp” sessions advising the public and the Penn community about topics in IP law.
ELC provides free transactional legal services to entrepreneurs. Through senior law students, we are able to service a limited number of entrepreneurial ventures. We like to think we can do almost anything that emerges from starting or running a business with a few exceptions (see below). Because we have limited capacity, we give preference to ventures that impact society and communities in positive ways. See the list below for the types of matters we typically handle.
Pre-Venture Counseling to Co-founders
Both clinics are a "teaching law-firm" where its students represent clients without charge under the supervision of faculty-practitioners.
