Chili Cook-Off 2019

• Official Rules:
• Contestants may not enter more than 1 type of chili.  Contestants may not serve any other type of food (unless condiments to accompany your chili) at the booth space.  For example, no desserts, sodas, etc.
  
• All ingredients must be pre-cooked & treated prior to the event - chili is to be brought "ready-to-eat".
• Contestants are responsible for supplying all of their own utensils & products relating to their chili submission and maintenance of it's proper temperature for serving (crock pot recommended).  You may provide condiments to accompany your chili. 
  
• Spoons and cups for use in serving chili to spectators will be provided by Highland Creek.  A 2TBS scoop will also be provided to each contenstant for serving chili.  Please make sure each "taste" is a level, 2TBS, scoop.  Serving heaping scoops may result in running out of your chili prior to the event ending, which could result in less votes. 
  
• Each contestant must cook a minimum of eight (8) quarts of competition chili.  In some cases, this means a second crock pot is needed once the first batch runs out.  If your chili has large chunks, you may want to consider bringing more than the required eight quarts.
• Each contestant is responsible for supplying their own table, tablecloth, canopy and 12 ft. extension cord.
  
• Each contestant is responsible for policing and cleaning up the area at the end of the day and removing all items from the area.  No items shall be allowed to remain after the close of the Cook-off.
• If alcohol and/or peanut products (e.g. oils) is used in the chili, cooks must post a sign in prominent location stating that the chili contains alcohol and/or peanut products.
• Deadline to register is October 19, 2019.(or until spaces are full).  A letter with additional details will be emailed to you regarding set-up times, booth size, prize details, etc. at least one week prior to the event.
• Chili Categories:  People's Choice (1st & 2nd), Event Sponsors Choice, Most Original Recipe, Just the Right Spice and Best Booth Decor.
