2019 ONLINE RESEARCH CHALLENGE BOOTCAMP

The  ONLINE Research Challenge Bootcamp will cover the 2019-2020 rules, forms, deadlines, competition dates, etc.  THIS ONLINE COURSE WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM 9/1/19-1/31/20

This workshop also includes training for schools in Central NM that wish to field their own Scientific Review Committee (SRC)/Institutional Review Board (IRB) in order to be able to review student research protocols (human, microorganisms, hazardous "stuff") for approval PRIOR to the start of data collection as required in the ISEF Rules for Pre-College Research.  

  • Completion of the in-person or online BOOTCAMP by at least ONE person from each school planning to send students to the Central NM Regional Research Challenge is MANDATORY!!
  • Completion by at least ONE committee member from each participating Central NM school will also enable the school to field a local SRC/IRB, however, it is NOT required for schools to set up their own local committees. 

**MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT RESEARCHERS (grades 6-12) ARE ALSO ENCOURAGED TO COMPLETE THIS TRAINING.**

You will receive a Certificate of Completion indicating professional development credit for the amount of time you spend on the online training. Certificates will be emailed upon verification of completion.   

Registration Process:

1. Click on link below and complete the registration form.

2. In approximately 1-2 days, you will receive an email invitation directly from the course website. The invitation will be sent from "Instructure Canvas <notifications@instructure.com>" NOTE: The course is available on/after Septembeer 1, 2019. If you register before this date, the link will not be sent until the course opens on September 1.

3. The invitation e-mail will contain instructions on how to access the course.
