Increase the impact of your construction projects through prioritizing diversity.
Learn how to bring your diversity and inclusion principles to your job sites. The Massachusetts Gaming Commission oversaw two major construction projects which launched the careers of hundreds of minority tradespeople and tradeswomen statewide. One of these had the distinction of having the most tradeswomen on a single construction project in the history of the United States. These projects also greatly expanded opportunities for workers of color, veterans and MBE, WBE and VBE businesses and suppliers.
Construction remains an industry under-accessed by women and people of color, particularly in Central and Western Massachusetts. Learn from other institutions’ successes including the casinos, several local colleges, public construction projects, and non-profit organizations.
Who should attend:
- Higher and Secondary Education – Presidents, Vice Presidents of Finance, Facility Directors, Inclusion and Diversity Specialists, Government Relations Directors
- Government – State and Local Officials, Municipal Managers, Legislators
- Construction and Development – Owners, Project Managers, Construction Managers, Architects
- Other – Hospitals, non-profit organizations, any institutions that are planning construction projects
