Cooperating Baptist Fellowship of Oklahoma 

The Cooperating Baptist Fellowship of Oklahoma will affirm the lives and recognize the careers of four Oklahomans during its annual Celebrating Excellence Award dinner, Oct. 20 in Norman.

CBF Oklahoma will honor Debora Friant, Quinton Roman Nose, David Sallee and Mary Sallee during the Celebrating Excellence dinner, one of the organization’s signature events. 

 Quinton Roman Nose is a lay leader in Watonga Indian Baptist Church in western Oklahoma. He serves on the board of the New Baptist Covenant and is a leader in Oklahoma Native American education.

Deborah Friant is a lay leader at Spring Creek Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. She also was an active leader of NorthHaven Church in Norman during its formative years. She is a teacher and educator and was an elementary principal.

David Sallee is a member of Second Baptist Church in Liberty, Mo., where he was president of William Jewell College. He is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University, which he served as vice president of enrollment development.

Mary Marks Sallee is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University, a member of Second Baptist Church in Liberty and was first lady of William Jewell College 16 years. The college awarded her an honorary doctor of humanities degree for exemplary service. 

Keynote speaker for the event will be Daniel Vestal, former executive coordinator of the national Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
