Designing for Diverse Learners: Personalized Learning through a UDL Lens

(Online Course)

Registration is now closed. If you would like to register please email Sarah at snelson@cesa1.k12.wi.us

All learners have different strengths, challenges, aptitudes, interests, talents and aspirations. Variability is the norm! This six week, online course will provide an introduction to the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework and how the framework can be used to personalize the learning experience. The framework provides diverse learners multiple means to access information, engage in learning opportunities and express what they know. UDL minimizes barriers, maximizes learning, and helps all learners meet high standards. Throughout the course you will gain valuable insights on how UDL supports the core elements of personalized learning and facilitates the development of learner profiles, customized learning paths and proficiency-based progress. Consider the possibilities the UDL framework offers in designing personalized, flexible, supportive curricula that is responsive to individual student variability.

A two credit option is available from Viterbo University.  If interested in Viterbo credits, please contact Sarah Nelson at snelson@institute4pl.org for more information.
