Welcome, teachers and mentors!

Thank you for giving our high school and community college students this exclusive opportunity to speak with dozens of STEM professionals from industry, government and academia to explore career pathways in five areas:

  • Engineering and Technology
  • Natural and Physical Sciences
  • Biomimicry and Biotechnology
  • Environmental Art, Ethics and Design
  • Advanced Manufacturing (MakerSpace)

The Green STEM Summit is completely free and includes a variety of food and drinks. Plus, all teacher/mentor attendees will be automatically entered to win a special STEM prize! (Must be present to claim prize.) All teachers, mentors, students, staff and volunteers must register. Accomodations are limited, so register early.

GREEN STEM POSTER COMPETITION!

Teachers, encourage your students to enter and share their insight on critical environmental issues through the Green STEM Poster Competition. Poster topics should focus on using STEM to solve important sustainability issues including climate change, natural resource conservation, recyclable materials, sustainable foods, Santa Clara River Watershed, invasive species, water quality or others. Check out the judging score sheet for guidance. For more information, contact tim.honadel@canyons.edu.

Prizes will be awarded in each of the five STEM areas listed above: (1st, 2nd and 3rd in each)

~1st Prize - $150

~2nd Prize - $75

~3rd Prize - $50

We encourage you to help judge the student STEM research poster competition on event day. Thank you in advance for showing students how STEM-related business, government and academic careers can make a greener, more sustainable world, and for promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math!
