Construction in the Healthcare Industry Training 

Construction in the Healthcare Industry Training is a one-day (8-hour) training course designed for architects, facility engineers, general contractors, trade workers and project supervisors involved with the construction or renovation of healthcare facilities. Upon successful completion of the course, attendees will be able to understand and appropriately address the unique needs of healthcare construction, including but not limited to industry-specific requirements, risk assessment protocol, infection control techniques (ICRA), hazard awareness, and quality control. The course topics will include:

  • Project Logistics
  • Engineering Controls
  • Air Monitoring
  • Operating Procedures
  • Potential Environmental Hazards
  • OSHA Requirements
  • PPE
  • Environmental Sampling
  • Hands-on Activities

This course includes instructor presentations, collaborative group discussion, hands-on activities regarding containment construction and equipment use. Upon successful participation, attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
