Kholrabi 101 - 4 Different Ways to Use This Nutritious Veggie

Locavore Food School offers nutrition and cooking classes taught by volunteers and community members including farmers, local food producers, nutritionists, chefs and alternative health care practitioners.

In this Food School class, chef James Fink of Wild Oregon Foods will demonstrate how to use the ever elusive Kholrabi veggie to make 4 different delicious dishes. No need to let those little mysterious veggies get old in your fridge ever again!

Chef James will instruct you on how to make:


Kohlrabi and potato vegetable chowder
Kohlrabi, carrot, apple, ginger slaw
Pickled kohlrabi with onions and herbs
Braised kohlrabi greens 
Samples will be available of course!
