Locavore Food School Presents:

Making Nourishing Herbal Infusions

by Laura Parker, CCH (Community Created Herbalist)

Locavore Food School offers nutrition and cooking classes taught by volunteers and community members including farmers, local food producers, nutritionists, chefs and alternative health care practitioners.

When our bodies have optimal nourishment, then they are able to rejunvinate and heal well.  When we need more vital energy, more comfort, more ease, there are plants that can come to our aid and be our allies.  Simple plant medicine is an inexpensive way to begin nourishing your organs, blood, bones, and brain, and it begins with Nourishing Herbal Infusions.

Nourishing Herbal Infusions are made from simple plants that build up our energy and help create optimal health, AND they are can be found right outside our doors.  They provide us with extra protein, vitamins, minerals, and micronutrients in our diet without consuming extra calories.

Come learn about nourishing herbal infusions and how they can benefit you.

You will learn:

* How to make and use nourishing herbal infusions.

* About the healing properties of herbs used in the Wise Woman Tradition.

* Simple steps to increase your health and vitality.

* How to build a relationship with the plants and use them safely.

* How herbs and food can keep your bones healthy and your body flexible.
