Developing and Implementing a Successful Permanent Supportive Housing Program

This training will provide participants with the knowledge needed to plan and implement a successful permanent supportive housing project, a model utilized to house the most vulnerable homeless populations.

This session will explain the real estate development process and proforma assumptions that are specific to this model, as well as best practices in case management and housing retention.

A particular emphasis will be placed on providing housing for challenging sub populations including seniors, chronically  homeless, veterans, TAY, LGBTQ, women, mentally ill, families, and those individuals living with substance use. Lease-up and collaboration during operations with property managers and property owners will also be highlighted.

The training is ideal for nonprofit housing developers, social service agencies, property managers and others interested in utilizing the model to end homelessness in their community.
