Bevan Cellars Tasting - Sept 25th!

Bevan Cellars is back at Buon Vino on Wednesday September 25th at 6:30pm. This is one tasting you will not want to miss. Bevan Cellars produces phenomenal Cabernet and Red Blends but most people miss their Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir that routinely score 95+ points by Parker and Dunnuck.

"Soon after the couple met in 1995 they moved to Minneapolis and fell in with a group of wine lovers whose passion and knowledge fanned their flame. They started taking regular trips to wine country in California, where they met many of the finest winemakers. They learned first-hand about Philip Togni's attention to every minute detail. Saw how Bob Foley would only pick fruit if his palate -- not some lab test -- told him it was time. They heard Greg La Follette telling them how careful you have to be when making decisions in the winery because even the smallest decision has an impact on the final wine. Their conversations still reverberate with them whether the couple is at a vineyard or in the winery."

Don't miss this opportunity to taste through an epic lineup of wines. There are only 36 seats available so sign up now!

2018 Bevan Cellars Dry Stack Sauvignon Blanc
NAPA VALLEY

$39.99

Our 2018 Dry Stack Sauvignon Blanc is pure sunshine in a glass. Tropical notes of fresh pineapple, passionfruit and papaya are present on the palate. It is one of the most lively and refreshing Sauvignon Blancs we have made to date. But (and here is where things get exciting…) she also has significantly more extraction than any of our previous Sauvignons. The resulting wine is incredibly powerful, yet light on her feet at the same time.

2015 Bevan Cellars Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay
RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY

$69.99

The Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay is, as always, incredibly seductive and opulent. The fruit profile ranges from tropical notes to stone fruit. This is a Cabernet Sauvignon drinker's Chardonnay. If you tasted the wine in a black glass, it would be hard to identify as red or white because it is so concentrated and powerful.

2017 Bevan Cellars Pateluma Gap Pinot Noir
SONOMA COAST

$84.99

There is a fabulous core of red and blue fruits, but like Black-eye Bill, this wine has an amazing sauvage or animal quality to it. It is as dark as most Cabernets, with deep purple going all the way to the rim. Just by looking at it you know that this is a very serious wine. It grabs your attention and holds it.

2016 Bevan Cellars Ontogeny
NAPA VALLEY

$120

98 Points | Jeb Dunnuck
While the 2016 Ontogeny Red Wine might be the least expensive wine in the lineup, it’s unquestionably at the same quality level as the top tier releases. Boasting a saturated purple color and sensational notes of plums, currants, chocolate, and graphite, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, incredible opulence and decadent, no hard edges and perfect overall balance. It’s the real deal, and readers should snatch up this beauty.

2016 Bevan Cellars Tench EE Red
NAPA VALLEY

$225

98 Points | Robert Parker
A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot, the deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Proprietary Red EE Tench Vineyard is scented of pure plums and ripe blueberries with redcurrants and touches of lavender, roses, bay leaves and dusty earth. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm, fine-grained, vibrant and refreshing, finishing long and perfumed. 1,403 cases produced.

2016 Bevan Cellars Sugarloaf Mountain Red
NAPA VALLEY

$225

97+ Points | Robert Parker
The 2016 Proprietary Red Sugarloaf Mountain is a blend of 55% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Very deep purple-black in color, it features earth, redcurrants, red and black cherries, plums and loads of florals with a waft of dried herbs. The palate offers loads of lift from the menthol and red fruits, with a fine-grained texture and tons of energy on the finish. 605 cases produced.
