Intro to Spey Casting Class

Want to learn how Spey Cast? We are offering an "on the water" Intro to Spey Casting Class at the Clackamas River. The class is designed for someone looking to get into Spey/Two Hand casting with Spey Rods or Switch rods.

In this class you'll learn how to Spey cast from both sides of the river and you will learn how to cast with an upstream and downstream "anchor". You will learn 4 casts at minimum, and the class will give you a foundation for many other variations of two handed casting.  

The class is limited to 4 anglers, below is a list of what you will need for the workshop:

• Your own wading gear - waders/wading shoes (studded)
  
• optional wading staff
  
• We will provide use our our Spey or Switch rod outfits for the class. If you dont have gear we offer a 20% discount on an Spey/Switch outfit of your choice by registering & taking this class.
  
• Raincoat (if needed)
  
• Polarized sunglasses (for eye safety and cutting glare on the water)
  
• Hat (for safety)
  
• camera (optional)
  
• Basic/Intermediate fly fishing skills are required for this class (basic casting/wading /knots/etc.)

Cost is $100 per person (non-refundable). Cancellations will be accepted until 7 days prior for the scheduled date, otherwise you will forfeit the reservation for your spot.
