"Economics of Energy Summit"
The energy industry is the industry that powers every other industry.
Since the second half of the 19th Century, an available domestic supply of safe, available energy has dominated American society...and by extension, the entire globe.
From the atrocious brutality surrounding the use of whale products, to the emergence of a Canadian geologist's innovation resulting in the widespread use of kerosene, to the eventual discovery of plentiful crude and natural gas, America has never diverted from the quest for securing a reliable, and abundant source of energy for illumination and machinery lubrication, and ultimately to power our lives, which often includes saving human lives.
On Thursday, October 24th at the Root-246 in Solvang, the Santa Barbara Technology & Industry Association and the Santa Barbara County Taxpayers Association, in cooperation with several other organizations, will examine the economics of energy.
