FEI Louisville joins with ACG Kentucky for a special economic event, featuring Jason Trennert -- chief investment strategist and managing partner of Strategas Research Partners LLC -- and Jim Allen, longtime chairman and CEO of Hilliard Lyons and now, vice chairman of Baird. Both have deep connections with the investment industry.

Widely quoted in the financial media, Trennert has regularly guest hosted CNBC's "Squawk Box" and "Bloomberg Surveillance."  Among his three books on investing and the investment business, Trennert's 2015 "My Side of the Street" was described as a “colorful account of how it was and how the financial markets are changing, for better and for worse.” 

Trennert earned an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in international economics from Georgetown University. Prior to co-founding Strategas in 2006, he was chief investment strategist and senior managing director at International Strategy & Investment Group, where he built and oversaw its Company Surveys and Investment Strategy groups. 

Jim Allen has served as Hilliard Lyons' Chairman and CEO since 2004. and reflecting its recent transaction,  is now the Vice Chairman of Baird. He has been active in the financial services industry and with the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, where he served as chairman and on the board of directors.
