A Candle-lit Walk 

Come see why hundreds of families return year after year to enjoy this magical holiday event! Luminaria features a .8 mile, unpaved and flat, loop trail through the Arboretum, lit by over a 1000 luminaria and light displays. 

Be sure to dress for the weather and please leave your pets at home!  Pets can create a walking hazard for others on the trail. Only service animals will be allowed at Luminaria.

Holiday Happenings

While on the trail enjoy listening to the Arboretum’s Carillon Bell Tower while you view the lights. Inside, warm up with hot cocoa, Tree Top apple cider, and Starbucks coffee while enjoying live music, children's crafts, and shopping in our Tree House Gift Shop. New this year-  Blissful Bites and What I Crave food trucks will be selling doughnuts, tacos, and sliders in the Founder's Couryard.

Also new this year, we are hosting a Coat and Blanket Drive. Please bring clean, new or gently used coats and/or blankets to help our community stay warm this winter. All donations will be given to organizations that suport those in our community in need.

Park and Ride! 

Yakima Transit is offering a Free shuttle from the U-Haul across the street to the Jewett Interpretive Center. You are also welcome to park at U-Haul and walk to the Arboretum.

The entrance drive into the Arboretum will be closed starting at 5:00 PM both nights to all traffic except those with passes. Vehicles with official Handicap Parking plackards or pre-arranged Luminaria Parking Passes can park in designated areas at the Arboretum during Luminaria. 

Please Note: Vehicles will be unable to turn from Highway 24/Nob Hill Blvd into the Arboretum. To access to the Arboretum- turn into the U-Haul parking then follow the shuttle route across at the stoplight and present your pass at the gate.
