10/29/20 - Intimacy Matters: Blueprint on How to Address Intimacy Issues

Course Description:

During this workshop, clinicians will also gain a blueprint on how intimacy issues arise with the veteran and military population. This is a half Day Workshop. This seminar is designed to acquaint clinicians with the assessment and treatment options available for various issues that impact intimacy. Dr. Louis will share validated interventions for improving sexual frequency and satisfaction, addressing the effects of sexual abuse, and enhancing chemistry. This seminar concludes with important information about discerning when it is necessary to make medical referrals, and to whom. 

Learning Objectives:

1. Recognize three of the four levels of sexual dysfunction.
2. Identify the components found in an initial sexual assessment.
3. Restate three techniques for improving intimacy.
4. Determine when and how to make an external medical referral for sexual dysfunction.

Speaker Information:

Dr. Louis has over 10 years of experience as a licensed psychologist, speaker and consultant.  She's the owner and CEO of Gifted Counseling, LLC; a well-known practice located in Atlanta, Georgia.  Her approaches have influenced people, organizations, businesses and companies all over the world. 

As a licensed psychologist, Dr. Laura Louis is a widely sought-after, international speaker specializing in helping couples press the reset button after infidelity. Dr. Louis obtained her BS in Psychology from Florida State University; MS in Counseling at Fordham University and PhD at Howard University in Washington, DC.

Evaluation and Certificate:

All attendees are required to register their name and email address on the Webex platform and receive an Attention Rating of 90% or higher in order to receive credits. The Attention Rating is calculated automatically through the Webex system and reported to our team at the conclusion of the program. In order to receive the highest rate possible, stay logged into the training for the duration, do not minimize the training screen, and do not open other screens on top of the training.

An evaluation will be emailed to you within two business days of the program's completion. You will need the access code announced at the conclusion of the program in order to complete the evaluation. Once you complete and submit this evaluation, your certificate will automatically generate to be saved or printed.
