The Teacher

Ya'Acov Darling Khan is a modern-day shaman (traditional healer), who has studied and practiced with many gifted shamans around the world. He has been recognized as a practicing shaman by Elder Shamans from the Sami (European tradition), and Achuar and Sápara peoples of the Amazon. He is one of the foremost teachers of embodied consciousness and the Co-founder of Movement Medicine Contemporary Shamanism, which he teaches worldwide.

"Ya’Acov teaches with mastery, one ear listening for guidance from beyond. He creates a field of trance in which the psyche can build and mend. His workshops are vast landscapes where the soul can dream wholeness."

A Movement Medicine Dance Workshop
with Ya'Acov Darling Khan (U.K.)
February 14-16, 2020 in Vancouver, BC

Please join us for this workshop with visiting teacher Ya'Acov Darling Khan to engage in a deep, joyous, dancing journey of personal renewal through Movement Medicine practice. Ya'Acov is one of the founders of the School of Movement Medicine.

Movement is Life, Movement is Change, Movement is Choice,
Movement is Creativity, Movement is Flexibility, Movement is Connection, Movement is Presence, Movement is Communication, Movement is Medicine

Movement Medicine is an exhilarating body-based movement meditation practice that integrates artistic, shamanic, scientific and therapeutic wisdom. It offers a powerful pathway to reconnect to the wisdom of living from the heart, the joy of knowing who you are and the satisfaction of making your unique contribution to life. Movement Medicine is at the leading edge of conscious dance in Europe and the U.S.

Sexual energy is the Source of creation. We have all been given the possibility of experiencing this energy as a powerful and healthy resource for dynamic and inspired living. Beyond guilt, blame and shame, there is movement, connection and the awakening of a sexuality that is a potent source of creative energy for all areas of your life.

It is a rare human in our culture who has been encouraged in the development and understanding of their sexual energy. Movement Medicine is a potent catalyst for healing and celebrating the Source within you. Nakedness is not required; integrity is. Whatever your history, you are invited to come and dance for your life! Embodying the power of your Source in the dance of your life will help you to take up your place as an empowered human being in the circle of life.

In this workshop you will:

• learn to embody the natural movement of your sexual/creative energy
• develop the polarity between inner feminine and masculine energy and bring these energies into balance
• become aware and learn to release some of the shadows around your sexuality
• recover your innocence and power as a sexual/creative being through the alignment of body, heart and mind.

This workshop is open to beginners and to experienced practitioners of all ages and abilities. The only prerequisite you need is the willingness to move and the courage to dare to dream.

"This course enabled me to feel alive and connected in a way no other course has done before."
--Robin Erwin - Commercial Manager
