Do you need help paying for District Convention?

Any Circle Ker can sell ads to help pay for their registration costs. Please see document linked for more information.

Additionally, using the 1/3 rule can also help secure enough funding. 1/3 is paid by the member, 1/3 is paid by the Kiwanis Club and 1/3 is paid by the school.


Carolinas District of CKI 2020 Convention

District Convention is an exciting weekend where Circle Kers come together to celebrate a wonderful and successful year. Students have an opportunity to run for District Office, celebrate award winners and learn more about ways to strengthen their clubs in the new CKI year. We can't wait to see you there.

 Registration & Rooming Details:

You may register yourself and up to 3 additional roomates of the same sex to be placed in the same room.  If you want to register more people from your club or members staying in different rooms, please complete a separate registration form. 


All attempts will be made to place requested roomates in the room together. However, please note, only the same sex will be placed in a room together. If you request a quad room but do not have enough members to fill the room, all attemps will be made to place additional attendees in your room to fill the room. However, please note, that if other members are not found you will be contacted to pay the balance of the room charge to make up the difference.

Registration Fees:

  • Quad Registration via Venmo (@CarolinasDistrict-ofCKI) = $200
  • Quad Registration via Paypal = $200
  • Double Registration via Venmo (@CarolinasDistrict-ofCKI) = $285
  • Double Registration via Paypal = $285
  • Single Registration via Venmo (@CarolinasDistrict-ofCKI) = $415
  • Single Registration via Paypal = $415

Quad Registration is for one person who is sharing a room with three other people. This price covers one attendee in a room with a total of 4 people sleeping in it. 

Paying via VENMO, send payment within 24 hours to retain your place. The Venmo account is @CarolinasDistrict-ofCKI (please note 2019 DCon and registrant(s) name in "What's it for" section of Venmo). Payments should be received within 24 hours of registration.

Pay by Check: Checks are to be made out to Carolinas District of CKI. They can be mailed to Administrator Jennifer Hethcox at 149 Misty Oaks Place, Lexington, SC 29072 no later than January 31st.

We will accept personal/school checks, credit cards via online registration, VENMO payments, and money orders (please do not send cash through the mail).  Please refrain from using pre-paid gift cards as they do not work with our paypal system.

Registration fee includes two nights’ lodging, three meals (Saturday breakfast, Saturday dinner, Sunday Breakfast), meeting space, workshop materials, service project materials, conference t-shirt, welcome package, and conference materials.

Lunch on Saturday is on your own in the City of Asheville. Locations to explore will be provided upon registration.

Registration Deadline & Cancellation Policy

The registration deadline is Saturday, February 1st 

If registering after the deadline there is a $35 fee and we can not guarantee a conference T-shirt. Due to Hotel reservations, registrations will close February 1, 2020. If you need to register after the deadline, please contact District Administrator Jennifer Hethcox at Jennifer.Hethcox@carolinascki.org or via phone at 803-447-9833 

Substitutions can be made, however please note, the tshirt size will be that of the original attendee. Same gender subsitutions are strongly encouraged if making them after the deadline.

Please note: Cancellation requests must be received in writing. Cancellations made prior to February 1, 2020 will be refunded in full. There will be a $85 deduction per registration for cancellations made between Feb 1 and Feb 7. Cancellation requests postmarked on or after Feb 7 will not be honored. A text to a board member is not an acceptable cancellation. Administrator Jennifer Hethcox must be contacted when cancelling. No Shows: If you register and do not attend, no refund can be granted. You will be responsible for refunding the money if your school or Kiwanis club paid for you to attend and you do not show up.

If payment has not been received by that time, you will be billed the amount for the registration. Please be respectful and cancel your registration, even if payment has not been made by the deadline. Failure to pay by the deadline is not communication that you are not attending.
