Dr. John Smith is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW #19868 ) who is the Director of Education and Training at Social Model Recovery Systems, Inc. He is a Professor of Addiction
Counseling at Mt. San Antonio College since 2000 and he has been in Private Practice in California since 2000. He has over 30 years of experience working with mental health and addictions.
Dr. Smith is the author of “Co-Occurring Substance Abuse and Mental Disorders: A Practitioner’s Guide” and he is the “Best-Selling” author of “The Authentic Man: A Guide to Happiness and Purpose”.
He is the creator of A.C.E.S. (Accelerated Cognitive and Emotional Solutions) which is a method based in neuroscience that creates accelerated and lasting changes in a person’s emotions and thinking. Dr. Smith is an expert in addictions and is a specialist in treating Co-Occurring Disorders and emotional trauma from past experiences.
