Parking and Additional Information for the second annual Kentucky Local Food Systems Summit
Please come prepared to learn and connect. You are welcome to bring a reusable coffee mug and/or water bottle to enjoy our full day drink service. We also highly recommend bringing business cards to share with your fellow attendees.
We’ll have programs, name tags, and parking vouchers ready for you at the registration desk, which is located on the second floor of the student center just outside the Grand Ball Room. We will have directional signage in and around the student center to help guide you. The University of Kentucky, Gatton Student Center address is: 160 Avenue of Champions, Lexington, KY 40508.
If you have any questions about accessibility or requests for accommodations please reach out to Lilian Brislen at your earliest convenience: Lilian.Brislen@uky.edu or 859-218-4987.
Parking:
Because of unanticipated changes to construction schedules on campus, our parking arrangement for attendees is as follows:
All Off-Campus Guests (Non-UK) are invited to park at Parking Structure 5, otherwise known as the garage on Limestone. You may park anywhere in the garage. Use the pedestrian bridge located on the third floor to cross over to campus, and follow signs to the student center. It is a very short walk.
We cannot reserve parking in the garage, but UK parking authority has reassured us that there will be adequate space for all who arrive prior to 9 am . Anyone arriving after that time (give or take) may not be able to find a space and will have to find their own alternative parking arrangements.
Please note there will be a significant amount of construction in the area, and you should be prepared for traffic delays.
You will receive a voucher at the registration desk that will allow you to exit the parking structure free of charge.
ALL ON-CAMPUS (UK) ATTENDEES: Guest parking comes at significant expense to our conference and we are grateful to our on-campus colleagues for using your normal means of parking and transportation. We recommend parking in the Memorial Colosseum E lot which is an easy walk to the Student Center and will also free up spaces for those parking in PS5.
We thank you again for your interest in our Kentucky local food systems, and look forward from learning with you!
General Registration is now full. Thanks to everyone who has registered!
The Food Connection at the University of Kentucky, in partnership with Bluegrass Farm to Table and Kentucky Proud, invites you to the second annual Kentucky Local Food Systems Summit.
