Expand Your Consciousness
(and your legacy giving program too)

Program Description:

Do you want to harness volunteer support but are unsure of the next steps?

Whether you work full-time in legacy giving or as little as one day a month, join Greg Lassonde for an engaging discussion on issues common to legacy giving programs and their solutions (with samples galore).  Greg will talk about legacy asks, direct response marketing, message reinforcement, dreaded administration issues, and many other items that organizations can easily implement to enhance legacy giving programs.

M. Jean Gorman, JD, Director of Gift Planning
Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health

Jean began working as a gift planner in Grand Rapids, MI in 1983 after graduating from Notre Dame Law School in South Bend, IN.  Later, at the University of Portland in Oregon, Jean was a co-founder of the Portland Planned Giving Council and served as the second president. Jean also attended her first national meeting for gift planners during this time.  In 1990, Jean took a position at UCSD and served as the president of the San Diego Planned Giving Council as well as the president of the Estate Planning Council.  In the mid 90’s and later, Jean took other more senior development positions while keeping a hand in gift planning. (VP at Scripps College and EVP at Scripps Clinic)  In 2004, Jean went back to the University of Notre Dame where she helped lead one of the most successful campaigns for a university without a medical school. Due to the creation of three new gift planning programs, twenty-five percent of Notre Dame's seventh campaign, totaling $2B plus, came through planned gifts. Both at Notre Dame and at UCSD, Jean also enjoyed working on numerous principal gifts. Currently, Jean is focused on gift planning for Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford and the pediatrics programs at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
