This activity is used to reinforce knowledge of the nation’s leading sources of energy.
12:00 p.m. Exploring NEED Website and Opportunities
12:15 p.m. Lunch and Phillips 66 Speaker
Following the lessons on energy sources, a local Phillips 66 representative will speak about today’s and tomorrow’s energy challenges and the company’s activities in the local area.
1:00 p.m. Exploring Oil & Gas Activities
Learn about exploration, production, refining, chemical manufacturing, transportation, marketing, and uses of petroleum, natural gas, and their products in the industrial sector.
2:30 p.m. Understanding Energy Efficiency – Candy Collector, The Energy I Use Today & Conservation in the Round
These quick lessons allow participants to understand renewable and nonrenewable energy sources, their personal energy use and to better conserve energy.
3:30 p.m. Paperwork and Other Stuff:
Complete Workshop Evaluations, Post-workshop assessment, receive substitute reimbursement forms, and complete Order Forms for Curriculum and Kits
