Geriatric Oral Pathology
presented by Ashley Clark, DDS and David Fray, DDS

           

This lecture is designed to inform the participant about various oral conditions with a special focus on the geriatric population. At the conclusion of this course, participants should feel more comfortable recognizing oral pathology in their geriatric patient population and understand how to proceed with treatment or referral.


Learning Objectives:
• Recognize significant intraoral and extraoral visual presentations specific for geriatric patients
• Understand the diagnostic process of a differential diagnosis and decision tree for definitive treatment in
  geriatric patients
• Learn appropriate geriatric patient communication and referral for diagnosis and treatment with an Oral
  Pathologist and surgical team.

Ashley Clark, DDS is an Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic and Biomedical Sciences at The University of Texas at Houston School of Dentistry. She nas no conflict of interest to disclose.

David F. Fray, DDS, MBA is a graduate of UTDB and Oklahoma City University. He completed a geriatric long-term administrator preceptorship at the Arkansas Health Center and post-graduate training in developmental dentistry for adults. He has no conflict on interest to disclose.
