Registration for this training is free for Pennsylvanina Legal Aid Network program staff, and attorneys who provide pro bono services.. Registration includes meals and training materials. The cost for registration for attendees other than the above listed groups is $350.00.
The Commonwealth of PA has invested new funding in the Disabillity Advocacy Program (DAP), which funds PLAN-affliated programs to represent clients statewide in SSI and SSDI matters. For the first time in decades, PLAN programs have new, dedicated funding to expand capacity and develop innovative ways to serve Pennsylvanians with disabilities.
The training will cover the nuts and bolts of SSI/SSDI disability cases, including adult cases, children's cases, continuing disability reviews, the newly revived redetermination process, and age-18 redeterminations. It will focus on advocacy before Social Security Administration Administrative Law Judges and the Pennsylvania Bureau of Disability Determination. It will include hands-on practice session on cross-examining Vocational Experts.
The training is appropriate for practitioners at all levels of practice.
CLE Credits
This two day training, January 22 & 23, 2020, has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for a maximum of 10.0 hours of CLE credit, law, practice and procedure.

Overnight rooms will be available at the Crowne Plaza, 23 S. Second Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101. PLEASE NOTE: You will need a credit card upon check in for incidentals. The Crowne Plaza is a non-smoking facility.
