30th Anniversary: National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women in Canada

On December 6, 1989, 14 young women were horrifically
murdered at l’École Polytechnique de Montréal.
They died because they were women.

Thirty years have gone by and what has changed?

We invite members of our community to join us in a Courageous Conversation
a discussion about relevant local issues related to domestic violence to create a conversation and dialogue on solutions.

Your thoughts and advice as community members will help drive recommended changes to the province in the coming years so that we can avoid the need to recognize other events like this in the future.

An outdoor vigil honouring the 14 women will take place prior to these discussions. The vigil is open to everyone - registration is not required.

Registration is required for the Courageous Conversation.
Space is limited. Light refreshments will be served.
