Are you Looking for something really FUN to do, outdoors, this February? Join us for an adventurous afternoon at Silk Fields Farm where kids will visit different hands-on farm stations and learn about life on SILK farm, literally in the backyard of a local family!
Baahhh…What do animals do to stave off the cold of winter? Let’s see for ourselves! We will check in on Mama sheep and her now 6 month old babes, and the 4 goats that live with them; Cleo, Pepper, Hildegard and Juliana. There are 16 chickens that will need a visit, do they still lay eggs in winter? We will also visit with the alpacas – the farmer says one is pregnant, lets see if we can tell which one!
Students will need to come dressed appropriately for the weather. Hot Coco provided!
Purchase a ticket to our fun farm class, and your gift will help bring a KCG program to the Kennedy Center Head Start Program in Charlestown with our Fund for City Schools program.
Thursday February 6, 2020. 1:00-3:00pm for kids k-1-2. $60 per child, registration now open!
If weather is extreme, Snow date 1 week later.
