Making-It-Home’s volunteers collect gently-used furniture donated by Bergen County residents and bring it to homeless adults and children who are moving from emergency shelters to new but unfurnished apartments.

Most families leave an emergency shelter and move into an empty apartment without a stick of furniture on which to sit, eat or sleep.

We provide this critical missing piece, so they can use their limited funds for necessities such as food, rent, and medical care.
