Hospice Regulatory Boot Camp
December 2020
Vdara Hotel & Spa, Las Vegas, NV

Weatherbee Resources has provided more than 60 Hospice Regulatory Boot Camps across the country since 2007. More than 5,500 hospice professionals, surveyors, consultants, and others have attended Weatherbee's two-day Boot Camps for in-depth, timely and relevant information related to hospice regulations, compliance challenges and managing hospice scrutiny.

Hospices across the country utilize Weatherbee's Boot Camps for orienting new staff and for the on-going training of Executive Directors, Hospice Medical Directors and Team Physicians, Clinical Managers, Corporate Compliance Officers, QAPI Coordinators, Billing / Coding Technicians, the Interdisciplinary Group, and others. Using three case studies, Boot Camp topics include eligibility, assessment, compliant IDG meetings, higher levels of care, medical director engagement, PEPPER, compliance programs and more.

An additional third day of presentations, Striving for Documentation Success, continues discussion of the three case studies and covers utilization of the Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs), proper use of hospice assessment tools (FAST, KPS, PPS, NYHA), documentation strategies and examples, TPE, SMRC, UPIC and other audits, and much more.

Boot Camp Planners & Faculty: Lynn Stange, RN, BSN, MA, CHC, Principal / President; Carrie Cooley, RN, MSN, Principal / Chief Executive Officer; Lauren Templeton, DO, HMDC, Physician Consultant; and Colleen O'Keefe, RN, CHPN, Senior Consultant & Project Specialist; all with Weatherbee Resources; and attorneys Howard Young / Jacob Harper / Jonelle Saunders with Morgan Lewis.
