Growing Neighborhood Leadership

Connect, celebrate, and learn how to create healthy communities

Sacramento is known worldwide for being the City of Trees, but some neighborhoods have much better tree canopy than others. Research has shown that neighborhoods with lots of trees have lots of benefits:

  • Cooler temperatures
  • Improved health and wellbeing
  • Increase community connections

Does your neighborhood lack trees? Want to change that? Attend and learn how the Sacramento Tree Foundation's NeighborWoods initiative brings together people to make positive change in their communities.

You'll get the chance to network with other community members who are passionate about improving their neighborhoods, and you'll go home with a toolkit for making positive change.

Breakfast and lunch included.

$15 suggested donation - No one turned away for lack of funds

We do not want this fee to prevent anyone from attending. Pay if you are able, but your presence is valued regardless. On the registration page, select the free option if this fee presents a hardship for you.

Have any issues that might prevent you from attending? Assistance is available for transportation, childcare, etc. Please contact Rachel Patten at rachelp@sactree.com for details.
