49th Annual Diocesan Convention

Join us for the 49th Annual Diocesan Convention - "Life Together ~ Our Jubilee" - hosted by Christ Church Cathedral.

FEES:

$135 - All clergy and lay delegates - includes name badge, convention materials, booklet, Friday lunch ticket, Friday evening Mardi Gras Party wristband, goodie bag.

$45 - Alternate delegates*, visitors, clergy spouses, and vendors** - includes name badge, booklet, Friday lunch ticket, Friday evening Mardi Gras Party wristband, goodie bag.

*Alternate delegates that do not plan on attending convention are not required to register. An alternate delegate who simply wants to attend convention activities should register.

**Vendors - space is limited; priority is given to diocesan committees, commissions, and programs. All vendors must be approved by the diocesan office. Complete this VENDOR FORM. Contact Sarah at sarah@diocgc.org.

There is not an option to purchase a Friday evening Mardi Gras Party ONLY ticket - please purchase a visitor ticket.

PAYMENT:

Credit card via Pay Pal and checks are accepted. All payments are required prior to convention start date.

IMPORTANT LOGISTICAL DETAILS:

FRIDAY EVENING EVENT - During Diocesan Convention, Mardi Gras festivities will be celebrated in the city of Mobile. As part of our convention celebration, Christ Church Cathedral will be hosting a special Mardi Gras party on Friday evening during the Conde Cavaliers Parade whose route passes directly by the Cathedral campus. This will be a jubilant time! However, special attention should be paid to your travel schedule and that of the city's parades.

TRAVEL & PARADES - Please be advised that various streets around the Cathedral will be closed to all vehicular traffic two hours prior to parade start times - Friday parade start time 6:30 p.m., Saturday parade start time 2:30 p.m.

PARKING - Parking will take advanced planning:

- If you are staying at hotels downtown (Holiday Inn, Riverview Plaza, etc.), you will be charged for parking by the hotels. No need to drive to the Cathedral; hotels are closeby and within walking distance.

- The Cathedral arranged with the city to offer 42 parking spots for $10 per car for the entire day and evening on Friday (Fort Conde parking lot 1/2 block from the Cathedral). No parking charges on Saturday. Purchase pass in advance on our convention website beginning December 9.

- The city parking lot across from the Cathedral on Church Street is open for parking on Friday for a fee. No parking charge on Saturday. Note that Church Street will close around 4:30 p.m. Friday for the parade; if you haven't moved you car by then, you should plan on enjoying the parade as the street reopens around 7:30 p.m.

- There is no charge for parking in any lot or on Church Street on Saturday. Remember, there is an afternoon parade Saturday at 2:30 p.m.!
