Evelyn the Adventurous Entomologist: 
The True Story of a World-Traveling Bug Hunter

 

Join us for story time at YSI! This month hear the true tale of Evelyn Cheesman who grew up to follow her dreams. In a time when all girls were expected to be clean, tidy, wear frilly dresses and then marry, Evelyn followed her passion for bugs, took charge of the London Zoo insect house and embarked on eight solo expeditions to tropical islands. Meet the author and then after the story, meet an animal from our Nature Center!

This is a FREE event.

Space is limited! RSVP via our registration system. 

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS EVENT:

- PRE-REGISTRATION ENCOURAGED.  Event is FREE!

- Great for all ages!  All children MUST have an adult registered and attending with them. (Up to 4 children per adult.)

- Takes place rain or shine.

- Parking fees not included.  $6 charge per vehicle.  

- Please let YSI know in advance if you are not able to make it or if there are changes to the roster (names).
