AN INTRODUCTION TO CENTERING PRAYER WORKSHOP

Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer in which we experience God's presence within us. Centering Prayer is a path to personal transformation. The Introductory Workshop supports a daily practice as taught by Father Thomas Keating.

The Introductory Program is designed for those new to Centering Prayer or for those who want to become more familiar with this contemplative prayer form - the prayer form of early Christians. This program is open to all parishioners, to members in the community of all faiths, and to those interested in Centering Prayer as an 11th Step practice within any 12 Step Fellowship.  

The cost of the workshop is $35, which includes welcoming refreshments,  a light lunch and the book, Forty Days to a Closer Walk with God by David Muyskens. Four continuing class sessions will be offered on Wednesday mornings, Feb 5,12,19 & 26,  as a continuation of the teachings.
