Our goal is to build opportunities for youth to thrive into adulthood by creating initiatives between business, community, and educational institutions. Come learn how you can play a role in driving high-impact community partnerships and transform the lives of Waltham youth!

Sponsorship Opportunities Available!
As a corporate sponsor of the annual breakfast, attended by close to 200 community leaders and partners, your company will receive significant recognition for your commitment to WPY’s vision of providing every young person in Waltham the resources and opportunities they need to achieve success.

Your support impacts thousands of Waltham's children and teens through notable WPY programs, including:

  • WPY Coalition: This coalition of youth, parents, educators, policy makers, and health care professionals meets monthly to devise strategies and plan activities designed to reduce substance misuse among Waltham youth and promote mental health and wellness.
  • WPY Trailblazers: A subgroup of the WPY Coalition, these teen leaders participate in anti-vaping education, youth leadership development, and trainings on community organizing, policy, and advocacy. They are focused on educating their peers and creating community-wide change to reduce substance use and increase mental health.
  • WPY Youth Interpreters Program: Bilingual high school students participate in 30 hours of training to become community interpreters; they are then eligible to be hired by community partners to interpret at community meetings and events.
  • WPY Summer Internship Program: WPY coordinates the placement of Waltham High School students in 6-week paid summer internships at companies in and around Waltham. Students who participate receive job experience and exposure to the world of work as well as weekly skill-building workshops and presentations. In 2019, we placed 60 students at 20 companies in a wide range of industries, including biomedical research, legal services, early childhood education, and social services. Our goal is to serve 75 students in summer 2020, and 100 students by summer 2021.
